See you there!
Power Of the Past is a large, fascinating collection of vintage and classic tractors, steam engines, combines, fighting vehicles, veteran cars and trucks, and horse drawn carts. There is also an exhibition of 100 years of fashion, all housed in a section of the old WW2 USAF Airbase.
Those who have booked need to arrive at Bentwaters Control Tower by 10.30 when they will be escorted in their cars to the Museum Reception for coffee, biscuits and introduction.
At 11.00 Bill Kemball ,who has amassed the collection, will lead a tour of exhibits talking about the most interesting vehicles and answering questions . Some will be started up.
It is hoped to arrange a steam traction engine demonstration. We can follow Bill or wander round at leisure.
We can have our lunch picnics at a time to suit ourselves in the reception building where there is seating and all facilities.
At about 2.30 / 3.00 Bill will lead us round the airfield perimeter in our cars and on return we peel off for the homeward run (or nearby Orford , Sutton Hoo etc for the energetic)
Cost is £20 pp payable in advance. To book in please email Paul Dunningham at [email protected]
